       Invitation to attend the Virtual 2020 Career Development Course of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Nigeria

Dear Colleague,

It is my great honour to invite you to participate in the 2020 Career Development Course of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Technology of Nigeria.

The course is an annual event which brings the participant's technical and professional knowledge up to date with current views of biomedical engineering at a global level. Given the COVID 19 Pandemic, this year's course billed to be hosted by Enugu State, Nigeria, will now hold virtually between August 09 and 15, 2020.

The CDC 2020, the first virtual career development course to be organised by the College, is an important programme of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Technology of Nigeria . It is divided into five parts: Parts A - E. Part A is Fellowship of CBET; Part B is Advanced Biomedical Engineering and Technology; Part C is Intermediate Biomedical Engineering and Technology; Part D, Basic Biomedical Engineering and Technology; and Part E, Foundation Biomedical Engineering and Technology. It is expected that participants would be able to apply the knowledge acquired to the development and advancement of biomedical engineering & health of Nigerians, Africans and other nationalities.

Every participant of CDC 2020 will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.

However, candidates who pass the Professional Examinations will be awarded in addition the requisite Professional Certificate of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Technology of Nigeria.

For the successful candidates, the Foundation and Basic Biomedical Engineering courses lead to the award of Professional Certificates in Foundation and Basic Biomedical Engineering respectively while the Intermediate Biomedical Engineering courses lead to the award of Professional Diploma in Biomedical Engineering. The Advanced Biomedical Engineering course leads to Advanced Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.

Defense of FCBET Dissertations/Thesis leads to the final award of the Fellowship of the College of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (FCBET).

The respective course modules in addition are also qualifying courses for the respective membership of CBET/NABET.
